It's become a running
joke...
I have been
going to Michelle at the Ebbw Vale salon for about 14 years now and
I really wouldn't dream of going to anybody else.
I started off modelling for
McCarthy's when I was younger, my mum was a client there so I had
agreed to model on a demonstration evening for Michelle. My mum's
hair always looked great and I loved my hair so much that I soon
became a client. McCarthy's had a great reputation for providing
good service - it just seemed like the right place to
go.
Now there are three generations
of our family who go to McCarthy's to have their hair cut. My mum,
myself and my daughter all love it there and have an amazing
experience every time.
The best thing about McCarthy's
is how professional all of the team are. Even though I've been
going to Michelle for years and years I am still greeted in a
lovely manner at the door, receive a great consultation and have
all of the products explained to me - nothing is ever taken for
granted.
Michelle and I have a running
joke now because whenever I go out I always get complimented on my
hair. It's all down to Michelle and her lovely team at Ebbw Vale -
I can't recommend them highly enough!
I won't go
anywhere else...
I have been going to McCarthy's
in Crickhowell for 25 years now. We had only just moved to Wales
and then Philip's Hair Studio had been recommended to me by a
neighbour. I decided to give them a go because of the convenience
of them being in Crickhowell.
Steve had only just started as
an apprentice back then so I began with another hairdresser -
moving on to Steve once he had qualified and I haven't looked back
since! In the past I have tried other hairdressers but I will
always come back to McCarthy's. I am forever receiving compliments
on my hair!
I love my appointments with
Steven because he's always so open to change and gives his honest
opinion on what cuts will work for me and which ones won't. The
team are always very friendly and professional - best of all I
always know I'm going to get a great cut!
I
travel to go to McCarthy's...
I started
going to McCarthy's salon in Crickhowell 7 years ago in June 2005.
I live in Gloucestershire and had previously been travelling to
London to have my hair cut and coloured at John Frieda. For me,
great hair is important so if I find a great hairdresser then I am
very loyal and am prepared to go the extra distance.
A friend recommended McCarthy's
to me - her colour was always absolutely beautiful so I decided to
bite the bullet and give them a go!
I can honestly say that I am
completely converted! I now visit e salon every four weeks to get
my roots and tint done and have my hair cut every 4-5 months. Steve
is my hairdresser and I think that my hair is all the better for
going to McCarthy's. The colour is the best it's ever looked - I
love it!
Philip's Hair Studio ……..ah,
the memories
Although I hate to admit it, Philip
(and now Steve, in Crickhowell) have been looking after my hair for
about 36 years !!
I remember the first time I went to
Ebbw Vale and feeling very excited.
In 1976 Philip was most definitely
'the' hairdresser to go to and I had high
hopes. In those days I was a rather mousy
brown, but Philip soon changed all that when he said 'you know,
your hair would look better with a bit of red in it……' - and so the
story began.
Over the years I think I've been every
shade of red imaginable, and have tried just about every haircut of
the day - but one thing that has never changed is the absolute
perfection and professionalism that I knew I could always rely
on.
These days - as you will see from the
attached photo - McCarthy's are assisting me in maintaining the
hair colour I insist I was born with !!
McCarthy's continue to move with the
times, maintain exceptionally high standards and still manage to
keep me (and many others) very, very happy with the service they
provide - for which I am very grateful.
I look forward to every
appointment...
I have been visiting McCarthy's Ebbw Vale for some time now and
I can honestly say that I wouldn't dream of going anywhere

Not only is it a convenient salon for where I live - Michelle
and her team go out of their way to make you feel at home and
relaxed. Their professional, yet friendly approach creates a warm
and relaxed atmosphere in the salon. It's definitely a place I go
to unwind.
I'm forever receiving compliments about my hair and because I
have been going for years each and every stylist knows me by
name.
It's the personal touches that keep you coming back to a salon
and McCarthy's are just brilliant for that.
Simone's not just my hairdresser... she's a
friend!
I genuinely look forward to my hair appointments at McCarthy's
in Blackwood. I've been going to Simone for a good few years now,
regular cut and colour appointments every eight weeks.
I am always greeted with a smile and an acknowledged byall
of the team - I've been going for so long that they all know
me now. Simone is always very attentive to what I ask for and
always advises me with confidence if I fancy a change - she'll even
tell me if she thinks it's a bad idea.
I look upon Simone as a friend - it's always great to catch up
with her and I always leave absolutely loving my hair. She really
knows her craft, I'd definitely recommend her friendly and
professional touch.
Blackwood is such a beautiful salon...
I have to say that I just love going to McCarthy's in Blackwood.
Not long ago they had a refurbishment and it's such a beautiful
salon now for it.
Simone has been my stylist for many years now. She knows my hair
and how I like it styled and always goes above and beyond when it
comes to service.
I have unruly, thick, wavy hair but somehow she manages to tame
it into a fabulous style that I just love.
They really know their stuff at McCarthy's and I don't think I'd
want to go anywhere else.
